Hi! Jared has a modeling update!

After a massive burnout, I decided to pause the Lips Tool coding for a few days. In the meantime, I’ve been experimenting with materials, and it led to a dusty look. I actually like it, though I’ll definitely refine the amount of mud later on.

I also peeked into unknown territory — grooming! I think it’s a pretty good first attempt, but just like the materials, I’ll keep improving it as I go.

Finally, I think I’ve finished the setup for the eyes! With just two attributes, I can control the size of both the iris and the pupil. I might add a few more controls later. I did get a little frustrated when I discovered that Arnold GPU rendering doesn’t play well with some Maya generative nodes, but overall, I’m happy with the update.

Now, it’s time to jump back into the final push on the Lips Tool coding!
